How to add a pre-production environment to Indexping

Adding a new pre-production (staging) environment to Indexping is straightforwards. There are two options. Either add a single environment, or upload multiple environments using our bulk upload tool. This guide walks you through both options for adding a pre-production environment to Indexping.

Adding a single environment

To add a single pre-production (staging) environment to your Indexping account:

Step 1. Log into your Indexping dashboard and select the Scans tab from the left-hand navigation menu.

Step 2. Select the blue Add button.

Step 3. Enter the pre-production environment URL (for example https://staging.example.com) and then select the region you wish to scan in. Then select the blue Add Scan button to save your scan.

The first time you add a scan it will run automatically, and you will see the results within your scans dashboard. If indexed pages are found, you will also receive an alert to your account email address.

Adding multiple environments using the bulk import tool

To add a multiple pre-production (staging) environments to your Indexping account using the bulk import tool:

Step 1. Log into your Indexping dashboard and select the Scans tab from the left-hand navigation menu.

Step 2. Select the blue Add Bulk button.

Step 3. Enter the pre-production environment URLs one per line, and select the region you wish to scan in. Select the blue Add Scan button to save your scans.

If you wish to overwrite your existing scans with the bulk scan you are uploading, select the Overwrite existing scan list? checkbox. Note: this action cannot be reversed.

The first time you add a scan it will run automatically, and you will see the results within your scans dashboard. If indexed pages are found, you will also receive an alert to your account email address.
